SoydogO’Rama Presents: Christmas in Almost July is an art festival that will include many local artists, four bands and a DJ dance party to cap off the night. This fun-filled night of jingle bells, snow, and soydogs will also include a plethora of festive activities such as, a family Christmas picture booth (photos can be viewed online on June 28), a real Santa Claus (aptly name “Dirrrrty Santa”) whose lap you can sit on and a Christmas sweater contest (the tackier the better- make your mother proud).
Lenny’s will be decorated with fake snow, an abundance of Christmas decorations and even, the always festive, lasers! Appetites for music, art, beer and soydogs, which will be served all night, are welcomed and encouraged.
The night’s music line-up includes, Snowcone for President (http://www.myspace.com/snowconeforpresident), a hip, up-and-coming band local to West Georgia. Villanova (http://www.myspace.com/villanovabandsc), a South Carolina band described as, “Explosive Goodness!” And The Blood Plums (which includes members of Universal recording artist, Heavy Mojo- www.myspace.com/heavymojo) will have their debut performance. The music line-up is headlined by the progressive electroacoustic, indie rock band, Stokeswood.
Stokeswood bassist, Reed Irvine (also known as “Ecco-Tat”) boasts, “[SoydogO’Rama Presents: Christmas in Almost July] is going to be like Sweet Christmas Morning!”
Music Matters Productions (www.myspace.com/music_matters_productions) will produce the finale of SoydogO’Rama with Stokeswood. Music Matters Productions previously worked with Stokeswood on their April 2009 CD release party. "What's In My Pocket?" Said the tricky Bilbo. - May 20, 2009

Dear Heroes of Carassia,
A message for the warriors! The past leg of tour was poetic and epic. Everything aligned into one seamless thread of joy. We dipped our toes in the sea and sand. We sang yeasayer to the fiddler crabs. Lovers were reunited, while other hearts broke. The front took a hard hit and played through it all. Pads and Chargers were left and fans hopefully were gained. Shows Sounded Amazing! Money; not so great. but.Thats not why painters paint though is it?
Amanda and Kates, the troopers, put as much mileage in as any one of us. Perhaps more. You two haven't missed a show in i
don't know how long. A deep sincere thank you. "Saved By The Bell" (Wink) No thanks needed. Thank You. Yes You. And Thank You, Mr. Daniel "Danny Boy" Freeman. This guy played his heart out all weekend and it showed, the stage reeked of wounds being licked clean. Brilliant. It won't be the last time we spend bunk bed time together. Believe that. Again to my warriors! Stand up and give notice to all. Carassia is in good hands. Bottom line, a great gig to be a part of. I thank you. Kisses.

Beware the Peep Jousters---

p.s. I also took in a Coldplay show with Danny in the cold and rain. So... Eat it. Your Face that is. Ecotat would love that joke. So, i suppose i do by proxy.

What Now? - April 28, 2009

Well, with the first album put to bed and the CD Release a distant memory. What now? We remain a struggling five piece constantly reliving the great shows and dismissing the shite! The industry is no reflection on our fan base however. The outright support you all have shown this ensemble is an inspiration in itself. A simple thanks will not suffice, but don't be angaree-ee-eee. Keep coming out to the waltzes, i'm sure i'll think of something to say, some grand act or gesture, to show my appreciation. I hope.
The days are spent teaching myself the ivory tickles and the black caterpillars. It's hard not to want to be Dr. Teeth when the stool is under me. That wasn't a constipation joke! gritting teeth and stool and what not. silly bastards! Until we meet again, BEWARE THE PEEP JOUSTERS!!!!
